Another small update was just released. This update fixes/changes two things:
- It should now be possible to connect to servers without a username/password
- Online checker was extended from 5 days to 15 days
The database now contains several hundreds completion checks of NZB files. However, more are needed for it to be of any use! So please download this alpha release, and upload your results!
As usual the download link has been updated.
I’m trying to download NZBcc but your site will not remove the ad. I click on the upper right corner after the 5 sec as you say, and it only reloads the same page. Won’t connect to download. Please repair or advise if I am doing something wrong.
Many Thanx
Hi Charles!
I just tried the link, and the download works fine(for me!) Can I email you the file? Would you like the beta or the latest alpha release?
Hi. im getting this error when nzb.cc shows results
EventType : clr20r3 P1 : nzbcc.exe P2 : 1.1.4459.41138 P3 : 4f650759
P4 : system.core P5 : 4.0.0.0 P6 : 4ba1dfee P7 : a3d P8 : 38
P9 : system.platformnotsupported
Hi ALex!
Uh, that doesn’t look too good 🙁 It sounds like your operating system is not supported. What OS are you running, and what version?
Im using win xp sp3
Beta version works OK thats why i switched back to it
It only happens with alpha version for some reason
There is another thing. Here is my situation.
have two servers set up. a primary one- astraweb, and a backup one- xsusenet.
There are some incompletes on AW and on xsusenet these releases are complete(when ncc checks using just one server).
SO..
the end results of checking vary from time to time. Usually there are still incompletes for multi-server set up but less than using just astraweb, though there shouldnt be any since these releases are 100% complete on a backup provider
And another thing.. percentage of completeness that you cans ee n the middle of results window(on graphics) are the same though difference in color length suggests otherwise.
(its on beta version, as ive mentioned alpha causes this error on my rig)
Cheers
Alex
Hi again!
I had to make a small change to the .NET profile used, in order to make the online check work. I’ll have to look up, if that causes any problems with Windows XP SP3.
Let me get this straight:
Astraweb gives you an incomplete check
Xsusenet gives you a complete check
Combined they give you an incomplete check, but still better than Astraweb?
“And another thing.. percentage of completeness that you cans ee n the middle of results window(on graphics) are the same though difference in color length suggests otherwise.”
I’m not quite sure what you mean? Could you provide some graphics/screenshot? I would love to have a look at it 🙂
Hello
***
Combined they give you an incomplete check, but still better than Astraweb?
****
Yep. At least it did yesterday =)
it is kinda strange but i couldnt reproduce it now ..i tried the same nzbs and multi-server works fine… strange. Well i’ll keep an eye on this if it happens again
But
***
’m not quite sure what you mean?
****
this one still seems to be bugged
what i meant is percentage of completeness shown on 2 colored bars in the middle is the same for multiserver and single server bar.
check it out
http://img134.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=496406783_Clipboard06_122_95lo.jpg
see?
the same 95.829% per multi and single server
Also i wanted to ask whats the purpose of having a choice to choose between servers in results window. In the right conner at the bottom.
It doesnt seem to change anything.
Ok ive managed to get incompletes with multi-server setup(the same nzb as in the example above)
here
http://img219.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=497172685_Clipboard02_122_924lo.jpg
its just 2 articles lol but it gives you the picture=)
maybe it has something to do with xsusenet( as a free server) not always reporting properly the availability of articles)
Hi again!
Your right, that’s a bug! I’ll have it fixed for the next release 🙂
“Also i wanted to ask whats the purpose of having a choice to choose between servers in results window. In the right conner at the bottom.
It doesnt seem to change anything.”
The box shows you all the servers that was used in the search. Lets say you have 3 servers. During the check, only two of them was used to complete the file. Then the box will only show those two servers. I hope that explains it!
And thanks for spotting the bug 🙂
Sorry for posting again i cant edit the previous one)
the interesting thing is- multiserver completeness colored bar shows that it is 100% complete!
i tried it again now i got 3 articles missing in the report. I think NZBCC doesnt quite handle well the output of the results
Because we clearly see that colored bar tells us this release is 100% complete in a multi-server setup, yet below we have it showing us 2-3 articles missing.
